Some of these children were transferred to facilities in South Florida. Please note that Catholic Legal Services is working closely with our partners at Americans for Immigrant Justice, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, other members of the legal community, and immigrant lawyers to find an effective response to this crisis in South Florida. But it`s so important to remember that in Miami immigration courts and South Florida detention centers, DAILY receives deportation orders from immigration judges to the parents of U.S. citizens, sons and daughters, siblings, and is about to be deported. This situation is deteriorating day by day as deportation mechanisms multiply. The situation will worsen further when the humanitarian protection of TPS and DACA expires.
