(e) The Staff Regulations apply to all staff at all levels, including staff of separately funded institutions appointed in accordance with the Staff Rules; (a) Staff shall uphold and respect the principles set forth in the Charter, including belief in fundamental human rights, the dignity and worth of the human person and equal rights between men and women. Therefore, staff must respect all cultures; they must not discriminate against individuals or groups of persons or otherwise abuse the power and authority conferred on them; (c) Any member of the staff may participate in elections to a staff committee body and all staff members working in a place of employment where there is a staff committee body shall be eligible, subject to the exceptions provided for in the statutes or electoral rules adopted by the staff committee body concerned and meeting the requirements of Article 8.1 (b). Payment in the event of the death of an eligible staff member Where, subject to the above provisions, a claim is resumed, it shall be considered in accordance with these Rules. The Secretary-General and the complainant are bound by the previous findings, unless significant new evidence or clerical errors materially compromise or challenge those conclusions. (b) A staff member who wishes to formally challenge an administrative decision taken on the basis of an opinion of technical bodies adopted by the Secretary-General or a decision taken at Headquarters in New York to impose a disciplinary or non-disciplinary measure pursuant to staff regulation 10, paragraph 2, need not request a management review. (d) In the performance of their duties, staff members shall neither seek nor take instructions from any Government or from any other source external to the Organization; A staff member may be entitled to fixed-term, fixed-term or continuous service in accordance with regulations 4.12, 4.13 and 4.14. (f) Relocation shall be carried out on the basis of removal to and from the following destinations: In the event of the death of a staff member, his/her spouse or dependent child, the United Nations shall bear the cost of transporting the body from the official duty station or, if the death occurred during travel, from the place of death to a place to which the deceased was entitled: reinstate promotion in accordance with staff regulation 7.1 or 7.2 under conditions established by the Secretary-General. Compensation or other remedies provided for in this Regulation shall be the sole remedy in the event of death, injury or illness. The United Nations shall not accept, consider or grant compensation or benefit in respect of death, injury or illness, except as provided in these Rules. With the exception of the following provisions, remuneration and rights may not be transferred to third parties. (c) The Secretary-General may reject any claim for payment or reimbursement of travel or removal expenses incurred by a staff member in violation of any provision of the Staff Rules.
(i) Under the conditions provided for in chapter VII of these Rules, staff members shall be entitled to travel expenses authorized during their home leave for themselves and members of their families entitled to travel between the duty station and the place of home leave. A staff member may also use travel time to travel during home leave. (c) under conditions established by the Secretary-General, a staff member who has successfully completed the selection procedure and who has completed one year`s service for a limited period of service or indefinite service and who is called upon to serve in the armed forces of the State of which he or she is a national; During such military service, special leave may be granted for the duration of such military service under the conditions laid down in Annex C to this Regulation. Payment can be granted. (e) A staff association may apply to the United Nations Dispute Tribunal for permission to file a memorandum of a judicial friend on a request submitted by a staff member. (a) The selection committees appointed by the Secretary-General shall ensure the regularity of the examinations organized under conditions established by the Secretary-General. (r) In accordance with staff regulation 1, paragraph 2 (n), the Secretary-General shall establish procedures for the classification and use of financial statements. (b) The pensionable remuneration of staff in the Field Service category shall be determined in the same manner as for staff in the Professional and higher categories. (f) A staff member may be granted early home leave provided that at least 12 months of pensionable service have normally been completed or at least 12 months of pensionable service have elapsed since returning from his or her last home leave. The granting of early home leave cannot advance either the right or the planned date of the next home leave. The precondition for the granting of early home leave is the condition for the subsequent exercise of the right.
If these conditions are not met, the staff member is required to reimburse the expenses paid by the Organization for the advance travel. (h) The appointment of a staff member for unsatisfactory service may be terminated under conditions established by the Secretary-General. (i) When appointing a staff member deemed to be internationally recruited in accordance with article 4, paragraph 5, provided that the appointment is for a period of one year or more and that the Secretary-General expects the staff member`s services to continue for more than six months after the date on which the members of his or her family begin to travel; (d) The Secretary-General may, if circumstances warrant and warrant, pay a staff member whose employment relationship has ended a severance package not exceeding 50 per cent of that which would normally be payable under the contract. Status. (c) (i) Each dependent child shall receive, at regular intervals, an annual allowance equal to 12.5 per cent in accordance with article 3, paragraph 5. the last pensionable remuneration of the deceased official. Where there are two or more dependent children, the allowance due shall not exceed the maximum amount referred to in Article 3.4 (a) and shall be divided equally among those dependent children. 1. The Secretary-General shall fix the salaries of the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme and the salaries of staff members of the United Nations Director category and above in accordance with the amounts established by the General Assembly, subject to the staff appraisal plan referred to in staff regulation 3.3, and if necessary, adjustments to posts.
